Derek Chang

Derek is a personal risk advisor for Swingle Collins and Associates. He specializes in creating customized risk plans for high-net-worth individuals and families, protecting their property and assets.  

Prior to joining Swingle Collins, Derek played golf professionally for 10 years after playing at the college level at Augusta State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Communications.  He was also a team captain and two-time Cleveland/Srixon Golf All-American Scholar during his time at Augusta State. On the professional level, Derek competed in tours all over the United States, Canada, and Latin America. 

Derek currently lives in Flower Mound with his wife Traci and their daughter Celine. They also have three dogs: Maya, Goose, and Violet.  In his free time Derek likes to play Call of Duty as well as fantasy football.
