Commercial Lines Operations Supervisor

Full-Time / Dallas

This role is a technical, process-driven Supervisor position within Commercial Lines Operations. 

This role serves as a subject-matter expert and operational anchor for the team, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and efficiency across day-to-day account management activities. With a strong focus on workflow management, compliance, and execution, this position supports both team performance and client service excellence through clear processes, guidance, and hands-on problem-solving.

The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of commercial insurance, a structured, analytical approach to operations, and the ability to translate complex coverage and procedural requirements into clear guidance for the team. This role balances people leadership with hands-on operational oversight to ensure continuity, quality, and service standards are consistently met.


RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Team Management: Directly supervise and manage a team of commercial lines account managers and assistants, providing leadership, guidance, and support to ensure optimal team performance and professional development.
  • Daily Operations Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day operational questions from team members, providing immediate guidance on complex accounts, coverage issues, and procedural matters.
  • Client Relationship Support: When needed, create relationships with key commercial clients, participate in renewal meetings and new business presentations, and ensure exceptional service standards are consistently met.
  • Backup Coverage Management: Coordinate and assign backup coverage among team members for planned absences such as PTO, training, or other scheduled time off. In emergency situations or when adequate backup coverage cannot be arranged within the team, step in personally to provide account management and assistant support to ensure continuity of client service.
  • Compliance Collaboration: Review compliance and audit reports generated by the compliance department for assigned team members, analyze findings to identify patterns or recurring issues, and determine where additional training or support is needed. Collaborate with the Training and Development Manager to address skill gaps and implement targeted remediation strategies to improve compliance performance.
  • Performance Management: Conduct annual performance evaluations for direct reports, provide ongoing feedback and coaching, and serve as the first line of defense for performance issues before escalation to the CL Operations Manager.
  • Promotion Recommendations: Evaluate team member readiness for advancement and make formal recommendations for promotions based on performance and skill development.
  • Administrative Oversight: Approve PTO requests, manage scheduling, and ensure adequate coverage for all client accounts and operational responsibilities.
  • Renewal Processing and Client Service Oversight: Monitor and ensure the team is effectively processing renewals in a timely manner, maintaining renewal timelines, and delivering exceptional client service. Oversee workflow management to guarantee clients receive the coverage, documentation, and support they need within established timeframes and service standards.


IN OFFICE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Regular in-office presence is required three days per week for this role.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Graduate (college degree preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years working in the P&C insurance industry
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines 
  • Experience using Applied EPIC
  • Valid insurance license
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Standard
  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, underwriting practices, and risk assessment
  • Experience with performance management and employee development
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with CSR24, Indio, Salesforce, ZoomInfo, Scribe, Tango
  • Insurance designation – CISR, CIC, CRM, CPCU, CLCS
  • Previous experience in commercial lines account management or underwriting

Account Manager, Personal Lines

Full-Time / Dallas or Fort Worth

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Provide support to assigned Producer(s)
  • Client Relationships – assist clients with all policy and coverage questions
  • Maintain client files in Applied Epic in an orderly and up-to-date manner according to Agency standards
  • Assist in marketing new and renewal business, negotiate rates, review coverages for competitiveness and accuracy, assist in presenting to clients
  • Prepare documents for renewal terms, including proposals, Binders, Auto ID cards
  • Review issued policies for accuracy and appropriate coverages
  • Manage new business workflow
  • Manage renewal list – work renewals in a timely manner and report on status
  • Manage invoicing and account receivables
  • Claims – walk clients through process, including claim submission, follow-up and overall communication
  • Carrier Relationships – establish relationships with key carrier Marketing & Underwriting contacts

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3-5 years of related Account Manager experience.
  • Understanding of property & casualty coverages, knowledge of underwriting and rating procedures
  • High School Graduate (college degree preferred or work-related experience)
  • Must hold a valid Property & Casualty Insurance license
  • Experience with Applied EPIC required
  • Experience with High Net Worth (HNW) clients and carriers required
  • Related industry designation preferred / Desire to pursue industry designation (CIC, CISR, CPRM, CPCU, etc.)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
