Commercial Lines Trainer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

SYSTEM TRAINING:

  • Provide thorough training on Applied EPIC, ensuring producers understand how to navigate the system efficiently for all aspects of their workflow
  • Assist producers on the use of Salesforce for lead and client management, CoStar for commercial real estate insights, LinkedIn Sales Navigator for networking and prospecting, and ZoomInfo for lead generation. Note: Experience not required for these systems and training will occur as part of the role.

WORKFLOW INSTRUCTION:

  • Lead training sessions on both the New Business and Renewal workflows, covering each stage from prospecting and quoting to binding and issuing policies.
  • Teach producers best practices for managing their book of business through the lifecycle of the account.

INSURANCE EXPERTISE DEVELOPMENT:

  • Provide guidance on common and complex coverage questions, helping producers understand policy specifics and nuances across various lines of coverage.
  • Connect producers with underwriters to develop stronger relationships and improve their ability to negotiate terms and tailor coverage solutions for clients.
  • Serve as a resource for all questions related to insurance products, industry trends, and regulatory updates.

ONGOING SUPPORT:

  • Act as a mentor and ongoing resource for Commercial Lines Producers as they refine their knowledge of insurance products and system usage.
  • Continuously update training materials to reflect changes in systems, workflows, and industry best practices.
  • Conduct assessments to evaluate the knowledge and skills of CL Producers, identifying areas for further improvement
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages questions, feedback and continuous improvement.

IN-OFFICE REQUIREMENTS

  • 5 days a week in the Dallas office

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Graduate (college degree preferred or work-related experience)
  • Minimum of 5 years working in the P&C insurance industry
  • Valid P&C insurance license
  • Strong understanding of commercial insurance coverages and industry practices
  • Experience with Applied Systems products including EPIC, CSR24, & Indio
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management skills.

Commercial Sales Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Commercial Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and fostering the success of a high-performing team of 40+ commercial insurance producers. This leadership role focuses on setting and achieving ambitious sales goals, equipping producers with the tools and knowledge they need to excel, and ensuring adherence to industry regulations and compliance standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leadership & Revenue Growth:
    • Drive top-line revenue growth by leading and motivating a team of 40+ commercial producers to exceed sales goals.
    • Develop and implement strategic sales plans aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Coaching & Mentorship:
    • Coach, mentor, and inspire producers to refine sales techniques, overcome challenges, and maximize performance.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews with unvalidated producers to evaluate progress, address obstacles, and share actionable best practices.
  • Pipeline & Performance Management:
    • Oversee pipeline activity, track progress, and hold team members accountable for meeting established targets.
    • Implement data-driven strategies to monitor and optimize producer performance.
  • Industry Expertise & Training Oversight:
    • Provide ongoing guidance on industry trends, market appetites, compliance standards, and emerging best practices.
    • Collaborate with the CL Producer Trainer to ensure new producer hires receive comprehensive onboarding and training.
  • Technology & Innovation:
    • Champion the adoption of cutting-edge tools and technologies that enhance operational efficiency and drive sales performance.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • College degree preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years working in the P&C insurance industry
  • Valid P&C insurance license
  • Proven experience in insurance sales with strong understanding of various insurance products, coverage options, and workflow management.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide support to assigned Producer(s)
  • Client Relationships – assist clients with all policy and coverage questions on a day-to-day basis
  • Maintain client files in Applied Epic in an orderly and up-to-date manner according to Agency standards
  • Effectively manage Epic Home Page, to include timely Activity review, documentation and processing
  • Assist in marketing new and renewal business, negotiate rates, review coverages for competitiveness and accuracy, assist in presenting to clients as needed
  • Prepare documents for renewal terms, including proposals, Acord forms, Binders, and Certificates of Insurance
  • Review issued policies for accuracy and appropriate coverages
  • Manage new business workflow
  • Comprehend and interpret Insurance Contract requirements for Certificates
  • Manage renewal list – work renewals in a timely manner and report on status
  • Manage invoicing and account receivables
  • Claims – walk clients through process, including claim submission, follow-up and overall communication
  • Carrier Relationships – establish relationships with key carrier Marketing & Underwriting contacts

  • External candidates should have 2-4 years of related Account Manager experience.
  • Understanding of property & casualty coverages, knowledge of underwriting and rating procedures
  • High School Graduate (college degree preferred or work-related experience)
  • Must hold a valid Property & Casualty Insurance license
  • Related industry designation preferred / Desire to pursue industry designation (CIC, CISR, CPRM, CPCU, etc.)

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide support to assigned Producer(s) and Account Manager(s)
  • Maintain client files in Applied Epic in an orderly and up-to-date manner according to Agency standards
  • Effectively manage Epic home page to include timely activity review, documentation, and processing
  • Assist in renewal process – assist with gathering renewal information, issue Certificates, attaching & labeling forms in CSR-24, issue Auto ID cards, invoicing, prepare summary of insurance and policy checking
  • Process change requests (including follow-up to carriers/brokers), endorsements, cancellations & reinstatements, check requests, premium audits and loss run requests
  • Set up customer portal, including communication to client
  • Assist Accounting Department with invoicing discrepancies and billing issues
  • Claims – walk clients through process, including claim submission/reporting, follow-up as needed
