Collin Brence
Collin joined Swingle Collins as a Commercial Risk Advisor in 2015 and was named Shareholder in 2021. He is the youngest individual to earn the title since the company’s inception in 1982. As a Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist (CLCS), Collin enjoys working with his clients in areas of risk transfer and claims management to help reduce insurance premiums. He and his team have developed an expertise in the technology, staffing, manufacturing, wholesale/distribution, and construction markets.
Collin is highly involved in the Independent Insurance Agents of Dallas (IIAD), for which he serves on the Insurance Employment Services Board. He also serves as co-chair of the annual Jim Millerman Insurance Convention, formally known as “All-Industry Day.”
Born and raised in Plano, Texas, Collin earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Baylor University, where he was a four-year letterman and two-time Big 12 champion on the Bears' football team. In 2015, Collin was named an Academic All-American and finalist for the Big 12 Sportsperson of the Year. Collin serves on the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) North Dallas Area Board and is active within his church. He and his wife, Kaitlyn, have one child, Addison, who was born in October of 2020.
