In our ongoing commitment to support area non-profit organizations, Swingle Collins & Associates visited the children of Dallas' Genesis Women’s Shelter this past holiday season, bearing loads of gingerbread houses and bags of assorted candy to decorate them. For 25 years, Genesis Women’s Shelter has provided a safe-haven for women and their children from the horrors of domestic abuse. Their outreach counselors help an average of 1,000 women and children each year, and its Shelter houses 650 women and children annually. The families and children who walk through their doors are escaping unspeakable violence, and the goal of Genesis Women’s Shelter is to provide them with all the tools they need.

Genesis Women's Shelter is so important to our firm. Our job is to help protect our clients homes and belongings from risk, so it is particularly touching for us to be able to bring joy to these brave families who have actually left all their cherished things -- which we work so hard to protect -- and to start over with a better life.

15 of our partners jumped at the chance to participate in this heart-warming event. The impact on us was so significant that we plan to make visting Genesis Women's Shelter a yearly activity for Swingle Collins & Associates.
